Delivering clarity, certainty and confidence
Renewable Energy Assurance is at the forefront of driving the growth of renewable energy and supporting the circular economy. Through a wide array of certification and consumer protection initiatives, Renewable Energy Assurance ensures that businesses and consumers are empowered to make sustainable choices with confidence.
Renewable Energy Assurance administers two consumer codes which set rigorous standards for businesses, ensuring that they deliver high quality, trustworthy services and offer the highest standard of consumer protection. Our Codes help create a transparent marketplace where businesses can grow, and consumers can confidently invest in renewable energy and EV charging.
Renewable Energy Assurance operates a highly effective alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme for consumers and members of the consumer codes, offering expert mediation and adjudication to help resolve consumer disputes quickly and fairly. In our delivery of this ADR scheme, Renewable Energy Assurance has handled over 11,000 complaints and recovered more than £3.8 million for consumers.
Our work ensures that sector participants are complying with the highest environmental and operational GB, UK and EU standards. In this way we provide end consumers with the information they need, guaranteeing that the products they buy meet the environmental and sustainability standards they expect. The Research Hub funds research in the sector, allowing us continually to improve our schemes based on scientific evidence.
Renewable Energy Assurance operates a scheme in the EV charging sector which helps track providers and services, creating a comprehensive, up-to-date registry that ensures a seamless user and billing experience for drivers.
